Vladimir Mau, Rector of RANEPA, and Igor Kobzev, Head of the Irkutsk Region, signed a cooperation agreement as part of the business program of the Gaidar Forum 2021. The main areas of cooperation include development of human resources’ potential of the region, modernization of the socio-economic development management system, work to improve the rankings of the Irkutsk region in the National Investment Rating.
"We are not starting our partnership with the region from scratch. The region is home to one of our four Siberian branches, whose operations will be restarted by us. In addition, students and existing businessmen and managers of the region are actively involved in the projects of the Academy. In particular, after three seasons of the project called "Manage" the Irkutsk Region is in the top 10 regions by the number of finalists (the first in the Siberian Federal District), and regional stages of the Global Management Challenge were held three times in Irkutsk in 8 years and involved over 1,500 thousand students and young professionals", - stressed Vladimir Mau during the meeting.
In order to solve the tasks outlined in the document, it is planned to involve experts and professors of the Presidential Academy in the region.
The parties will also cooperate in the field of consulting services. The signatories agreed to conduct monitoring research aimed at the analysis of socio-economic development processes in the Irkutsk region, including the sector of economic policy, entrepreneurship, management in private business, and interaction of municipalities in the region.
"The signing of this agreement and the outlined plans open up opportunities and access for the Irkutsk region to all educational and expert technologies accumulated over the years by the Academy," believes Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk region.
