Efim Rachevsky — Director, Tsaritsyno school No. 548; People's Teacher of the Russian Federation
From 1966 to 1971, he studied at the Department of History and Philology of Kazan State University.
From 1971 to 1973, he served in the Soviet Army, in Zabaikalie, as a lieutenant.
From 1973-1980, he was a teacher of history at School No.30 in Kazan, Russia.
From 1980 to 1984 he was a history teacher at school No. 548 in Moscow,
From 1984 to the present time - Director of the same school.
In 1996 the school acquired the status of the Tsaritsyno Education Center.
A member of the Russian Public Council of Education Development, the Moscow Union of Journalists, a number of editorial boards of various editions related to education, a member of the Interdepartmental Working Group for the national project "Education". His publications are connected with the problems of general education and educational policy.
Honored Teacher of Russia, laureate of the Russian Federation President Award in Education in 2004, was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II degree.
On August 30, 2008. By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation he was awarded the honorary title "People's Teacher of Russia.
Since 2008, member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, member of the commission of the Civic Chamber for Development of Education.
