Alvis Hermanis — Chief Director of the New Riga Theater

Artistic director of New Riga Theatre/Latvia.
He is working in the most important European theatres (Burgtheater/Vienna, Schaubuehne/Berlin, Schauspielhaus/Zurich, Kammerspiele and Residenz/Munich, Theatre of Nations/Moscow and others) and major opera houses (La Scala/Italy, Salzburg Festspiele, La Monnaie/Brussels and others). His works has been presented in theatre festivals all around the world (Avignon, Edinburgh, Seoul, Montreal and others). He is awarded with European Theatre prize "New Realities".
Two times he has worked in Russia ("Shukshin stories" and "Gorbachov" at Theatre of Nations/Moscow).
