Alfonso Gentil — Director of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE)
Alfonso Gentil Alvarez-Ossorio holds a degree in Law from Universidad de Sevilla, with field of specialization International Law by Radboud University in Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and a Master's Degree in Public Communication issued by the National Institute of Public Administrations.
Since 2007, Mr. Gentil Álvarez-Ossorio belongs to the Higher Body of Civil Administrators of the State.
He is the former Head of the Internationalization of Higher Education Unit from March 2015 to October 2018.
He has developed his career in the area Foundations and Patronage of Ministry of Culture; Among his others assignments he was Deputy Director in International Cooperation and Vocal Advisor in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
He has also had a position as Advisor in the Directorate General of MUFACE and in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports as Deputy Director for International Relationship and European Union.
Starting in February 18th 2021, Mr. Gentil Álvarez-Ossorio is the Director of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE), the Erasmus+ Spanish National Agency for Education and training.
