Yaroslav Kuzminov, Rector of the Higher School of Economics, to act as an expert in the plenary discussion “Competition for Human Capital” on January 18
In 1992, Yaroslav Kuzminov in cooperation with Evgeny Yasin proposed the establishment of a new type of institution of higher education – State University Higher School of Economics. In the same year, Yaroslav Kuzminov became the Rector of the State University Higher School of Economics, thus he became the youngest Rector of a state university in the Russian Federation. In May, 2009, his appointment as Rector of the State University Higher School of Economics was confirmed for a five-year period.
Within the framework of the plenary discussion “Competition for Human Capital”, Yaroslav Kuzminov will participate in the discussion of the existing balance between economic development and social guaranties; necessity to “humanitarize” the society, ways to overcome the crisis of culture, competitiveness of the Russian education and other questions.
